The exceptional backdrops of the Cascade mountains, Mt Rainier and Mt Baker, the Olympics, Pudget Sound waterfronts, countless lakes and hikes (I have so many faves) allow for the most magical settings for engagements, weddings, elopements and family portraits... there's a reason I booked a one way ticket to this State and never looked back!
When I first moved from Southern California to Seattle Washington almost 10 years ago, I couldn't believe my eyes. Picturesque mountains as far as my eyes could see, four contrasting seasons of ever-changing leaves, and colossal evergreens that tenderly met the sea. I quickly acclimated to the cooler temperatures and fell in love with the PNW.
I'm obsessed with plants, my home has over 25 indoor plants, we won't go over the ones outside... Incorporating natural elements like plants and trees into my photography is one of the ways I like to include the PNW landscape into portraits. It can soften an image or make an image look edgy. What better place then Washington State to explore constantly changing scenery? Moving here opened me up to exploring my love of photographing the outdoors. Road-tripping in my car "Pearl" with my sidekick and best friend, Kuvo Bobby, a two year old Mini Bernedoodle has been the greatest joy! On my days off I enjoy finding new hiking trails with my dog, exploring Olympic National Forest, visiting local beaches and parks, and binge watching most cringe-worthy reality TV shows. For the record, I am a proud Swifty and yes I do believe in the 'Karma' theory - iykyk
Some road-trip favorites of mine are: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone (in the Winter!), Olympics, and the Tetons. I also love the Grand Canyon. My landscape and conceptual art photography has been featured in Italian Vogue multiple times and once as 11/500 on 'PhotoVogue Best Of.'
